Laptop turns on but the display is blank

Many times, you may experience seeing that the notebook turns on by hearing the fans spin and the keyboard lighting up but you can see nothing on the screen. The cause may be a faulty screen, a faulty LCD cable, a battery or a motherboard issue. No matter the issue I usually turn around these repairs within 48 hours.

A broken hinge is something I see far too frequently. You might have attempted to close the lid in haste, or you might have dropped your laptop.

A broken hinge wouldn’t allow you to open and close your laptop’s lid easily and you would also run the risk of further damage to internal components by trying to operate it. I can repair your broken hinge cost-effectively and I’d make certain that my repair would last.

Laptop DC Jack replacement

Laptop DC power jacks are frequently becoming damaged primarily because they are always being connected to a charger. Hence if you insert the charger forcibly or at a wrong angle it may damage the pin within the DC jack calling for a replacement.

Very often I fix laptops which have suffered from accidental liquid spillages. Most often I manage to salvage them with minimal cost as long as they’re brought in soon after the spill was created. Initially, I will disassemble the notebook, completely dry it out and wash all the connectors and then execute a diagnosis as to find out whether the parts have suffered damage. Most of the times I manage to put the notebook back into working order with nominal price.

Laptop screens are rather delicate. When you drop the laptop or if an object collides with it, it is very likely that your laptop screen will become damaged. Additionally it is normal for screens to suffer with digital damage and reach their end of life. I replace screens from laptops of all brands and. For a cost-effective laptop display repair, give me a call.

Laptop Hard Drive Upgrade

Whether you would like to improve the storage on your notebook, or you think your laptop is sluggish and wish to install a faster storage device I can do this fast and cost-effectively. I will consult you on your needs and then suggest the perfect hard drive or SSD for your needs and install it.

Laptop overheats

When your laptop gets too noisy or you believe that it is overheating, that is often a sign that fans could be damaged/really dusty as well as the thermal compound on the CPU (mainly) is dried.

An overheating laptop may cause damage to its internal components and usually, it shuts itself down to prevent that. If you feel that your laptop shuts down randomly without warning or if you feel that it becomes very hot after a couple of minutes of usage, then it probably suffers from overheating. The reason could be excessive dust raising the temperature indoors or a faulty fan which does not cool the notebook and circulate the air as it should. Whatever the cause is I can repair your laptop in a few hours and have you up and running again.
