Laptop turns on but the screen is blank
Many times, you may experience seeing the notebook turns on by hearing the fans spin and the computer keyboard lighting up but you can see nothing on the monitor. The cause could be a faulty display, a faulty LCD cable, a battery or a motherboard issue. No matter the issue I usually turn around these repairs within 48 hours.
A broken hinge is something I see far too often. You might have tried to close the lid in haste, or you may have dropped your laptop.
A broken hinge would not allow you to open and close your laptop’s lid easily and you would also run the risk of further damage to internal parts by attempting to operate it. I can repair your broken hinge cost-effectively and I’d be certain that my fix would last.
Laptop DC Jack replacement
Laptop DC power jacks are often becoming damaged primarily since they’re continuously being connected to a charger. Hence in case you insert the charger forcibly or at a wrong angle it may damage the pin within the DC jack calling for a replacement.
Very often I fix laptops which have suffered from accidental liquid spillages. Most often I manage to salvage them with minimal cost so long as they’re brought in soon after the spill was made. Originally, I will disassemble the laptop, completely dry it out and clean all of the connectors and then perform a diagnosis as to learn whether the parts have suffered damage. The majority of the times I manage to put the notebook back into working order with minimal cost.
Laptop screens are quite delicate. When you drop the notebook or if an object collides with it, it’s very likely that your laptop screen will become damaged. Additionally it is common for screens to suffer from electronic damage and reach their end of life. I replace displays from notebooks of all brands and. For a cost-effective laptop screen repair, give me a call.
Laptop Hard Drive Upgrade
Whether you wish to improve the storage on your laptop, or you think your laptop is sluggish and wish to install a faster storage device that I can do this fast and cost-effectively. I’ll consult you on your requirements and then suggest the perfect hard drive or SSD for your needs and install it.
Laptop is overheating
When your laptop gets too noisy or you believe that it’s overheating, that is often a sign that fans could be damaged/really dusty and the thermal compound on the CPU (mainly) is dried.
An overheating laptop may cause damage to its internal components and generally, it shuts itself down to avoid that. If you think that your laptop shuts down randomly without warning or if you believe it gets very hot after a couple of minutes of use, then it probably suffers from overheating. The cause could be excessive dust raising the temperature indoors or a faulty fan which does not cool the notebook and circulate the air as it should. Whatever the cause is I can repair your notebook in a few hours and have you up and running again.
