Most of us are hooked on our laptops to work, communicate effectively, study information and amuse ourselves. They are a part of our lives. I mostly carry them with us, and I use them extensively making them susceptible to damage.
When this happens, I am here to help out with getting you up and running quickly. When you bring your laptop in, I will perform a free of charge identification, after which I will notify you of the nature of the fault, the options you have and provide a fixed quote.
If you approve my quote I will move in the repair straight away and it will usually be ready within hours (subject to part availability).
I can repair laptops of all makes and models including gaming laptops. Whether you’ve got a hardware or software fault my extensive experience will guarantee I correctly diagnose the issue and that I perform a fix that’s cost-effective and long-lasting.
Several faults could prevent your notebook from turning on. It may be a faulty DC jack, a bad motherboard, bad RAM and others. Within one day I will provide you with an accurate diagnosis so that you can decide whether to proceed with the fix.
Laptop turns on but the screen is blank
Many times, you might experience seeing the laptop turns on by hearing the fans spin and the keyboard light up but you can see nothing on the monitor. The reason may be a faulty display, a faulty LCD cable, a battery or a motherboard issue. Whatever the problem I usually turn around these repairs within two days.
A broken hinge is something I see far too often. You might have attempted to close the lid in haste, or you might have dropped your laptop.
A broken hinge would not allow you to open and close your notebook lid easily and you would also run the risk of additional damage to internal components by attempting to operate it. I can mend your broken hinge cost-effectively and I’d be sure that my fix would last.
Laptop DC Jack replacement
Laptop DC power jacks are frequently becoming damaged primarily since they’re continuously being connected to a charger. Hence if you insert the charger forcibly or at a wrong angle it may damage the pin inside the DC jack calling for a replacement.
Very often I fix laptops which have suffered from accidental liquid spillages. Most often I manage to salvage them with minimal cost so long as they’re brought in soon after the spill was made. Initially, I will disassemble the notebook, completely dry it out and clean all of the connectors and then perform a diagnosis as to find out whether the parts have suffered damage. The majority of the times I manage to put the laptop back into working order with nominal cost.
Laptop screens are rather delicate. When you drop the notebook or if an object collides with it, it’s very likely your laptop screen will get damaged. Additionally it is common for screens to suffer with electronic damage and reach their end of life. I replace screens from laptops of all brands and. To get a cost-effective laptop screen repair, give me a call.
Laptop Hard Drive Upgrade
Whether you wish to increase the storage on your laptop, or you think your laptop is sluggish and want to install a faster storage device that I can do this fast and cost-effectively. I will consult you on your requirements and then suggest the right hard drive or SSD to your needs and install it.
Laptop is overheating
When your laptop gets too noisy or you feel that it is overheating, that’s often a sign that fans may be damaged/really dusty and the thermal compound on the CPU (mainly) is dried.
An overheating laptop may lead to damage to its internal parts and generally, it shuts itself down to prevent that. If you feel that your laptop shuts down randomly without warning or if you believe it becomes very hot after a few minutes of use, then it probably suffers from overheating. The cause could be excessive dust raising the temperature indoors or a faulty fan which does not cool the notebook and circulate the air as it should. Whatever the cause is I can repair your notebook in a few hours and have you up and running again.
