Failed RAID Array – Solihull Accountancy Practice
A Solihull accountancy firm arrived with a two-drive RAID 1 array that had degraded after a power surge, leaving ten years of client records inaccessible. Vlad used forensic imaging to clone both drives sector-by-sector before reconstruction. The array showed a partial write failure on drive one. All 47,000 files recovered. Total turnaround: 52 hours.
Overheating MacBook Pro M2 – Edgbaston Customer
A Birmingham video editor brought in a MacBook Pro M2 throttling under load, sustaining CPU temperatures above 103°C. Thermal paste had dried and the heatsink had micro-debris blocking two fins.
